Vacation Bible Shool!

The Circus is coming! Circus Time is the theme to our VBS this year and I get to be the clown! This is going to be so much fun! We already have massive amounts of kids signed up, and should have even more today, if the rain holds off. They all start bringing friends throughout the week and we usually end up with a pretty big crowd...it's very exciting!

It has been a LOOOOONG time, so sorry!
Friend Sarah and I are preparing for a rummage sale on Saturday. Another friend is having one and she has a prime location, so we asked to join in....hopefully, we'll clear out a lot of stuff and make some much needed cash....we'll see

I have also been trying to sell a few nicer things on Ebay...right now, just small things to build up my feedback score so people will buy bigger ticket items in the future.

Our car is dying a slow death and will need MAJOR repairs very soon....hubby wants to sell it to the cab company (they love used crown victoria's) He is looking at a used Suburban that he really wants...it is a good price and is in good shape. We looked into the cash for clunkers option, but since you have to buy new, it would mean having to have a car payment and we just cannot do that, so we are buying what we have the money for...

Now I don't know about ya'all, but in my experience, when there is no money, you have to quit spending it... Seems to me that running our household the way these fools are running the country would cause the banker to ask us to move... the sheriff might come by to help even!

Now, we used to do the credit thing...tried it several times in fact ('cause we're dumb!) That dog don't hunt!

I don't know how to fix the deficit, but I do know that fixing things at home takes a lot of effort and giving up "nice to haves" ( personal pork barrel spending) in favor of paying off debt. Still working that plan by the way. It sure is taking longer to fill in the holes than it did to dig 'em.

I am Entering a 3 Day Weekend!

Joy of all joys...the three day weekend. This is a privilege I will be enjoying for the foreseeable future, it is, however, tempered by a one day weekend at the opposite end of the pay period, so I may not be quite so cheerful nest Friday. For now...I am singing and dancing and just plain tickled pink!

Our summer renter has moved in, a week early...oh no, I wasn't ready. I got ready fast though Monday night after our dinner guests left. While Hubby went to get renter, I got the guest room as ready as could be and finished emptying out the closets over the course of this week. Lookin' good!!
